Conrad Mewse and Crendon Tru7 Honda will part ways after the 2026 season. The Brit has decided to take on a new challenge after four successful years with the team. Mewse ends his time with the team by securing his third British MX1 title and victory in the Plews Masters Series.
Mewse joined Crendon Tru7 Honda in 2023 and developed into one of the team’s key riders over the following years. Their partnership delivered several successes, highlighted by his third British MX1 title in 2026. This brought his total number of British motocross titles to six, having previously won the MX2 championship three times.
In addition to his success in the British MX1 Championship, Mewse also claimed the Plews Masters Series title this season. This brings his time with Honda to a successful conclusion.
Team manager Ryan Thorpe looks back on their partnership with great appreciation. “It has been a real pleasure working with Conrad and seeing what he has achieved with us. He is an incredibly talented rider who always gives everything when he gets on the bike. We have shared some fantastic moments, and winning the British MX1 title this year was a great reward for all the hard work. Everyone within the team is proud of what we have achieved together, and we wish him every success for the future.”
Team owner Dave Thorpe also praised Mewse’s achievements. “Conrad is an exceptional talent and has been a fantastic ambassador for Crendon Tru7 Honda. Winning championships requires more than just outright speed. It takes dedication, perseverance and the ability to perform under pressure. Conrad has demonstrated those qualities time and time again. We are pleased to have played a part in his career and to have celebrated another British title together.”
Honda Europe has also acknowledged the Brit’s departure. Neil Fletcher, Head of Racing and Development at Honda Europe, thanked Mewse for his performances and commitment. “At Honda, we have high expectations, and Conrad has met them from start to finish. Everyone at Honda Racing wishes him all the very best for the future.”
Mewse’s departure brings an end to a successful partnership that began in 2023. Where the Brit will continue his career in 2027 has not yet been announced.
