Kash van Hamond brought the 2026 KNMV MX Nationals season to an impressive close. The KTM rider for the Future-MX Team, who secured the Dutch 85cc title at the penultimate round in Heerde, once again proved to be the strongest competitor at the season finale on the Eurocircuit in Valkenswaard. After a convincing victory in the first moto, Van Hamond fought his way back from 16th place to win the second moto following a crash.
Van Hamond got off to an excellent start to the race day by setting the fastest time in qualifying. The newly crowned Dutch champion immediately demonstrated that he was determined to fight for victory in the final race of the season as well.

In the first moto, Van Hamond took the lead right from the start. The Future-MX Team rider controlled the race from beginning to end, steadily extending his advantage throughout the moto. He eventually crossed the finish line as the winner with an impressive 22-second lead.
The second moto unfolded very differently. Van Hamond crashed on the opening lap and crossed the finish line at the end of the first lap in 16th place. A second moto victory suddenly looked like a particularly difficult challenge. However, Kash refused to give up and launched an impressive comeback. Lap after lap, he worked his way through the field, making up position after position.

With just two laps remaining, Van Hamond managed to take the lead. He then held on to first place to secure the victory. In doing so, he capped off his remarkable comeback with his second moto win of the day.
With the fastest qualifying time and two moto victories, Van Hamond enjoyed another highly successful weekend. The Future-MX Team rider convincingly claimed the overall victory, putting the finishing touch on his Dutch championship title.
Having already been crowned champion in Heerde, Van Hamond once again demonstrated in Valkenswaard why he had been the rider to beat in the 85cc class throughout the season. His spectacular charge from 16th place in the second moto made his final appearance of the KNMV MX Nationals season particularly memorable.
