Back to the future: a special vintage look that pays homage to the past while adding a contemporary twist to the design. At Montevarchi, Alberto Forato and Brent Van doninck will debut AXO’s new “Series 26 Heritage Limited Edition” livery. To celebrate the home round for the Italian brand, the factory Fantic XXF 450 machines will also sport the special colours.
After a 20-year wait, the FIM Motocross World Championship returns to Montevarchi this weekend, with the historic Tuscan venue hosting the MXGP of Italy, round 9 of the 2026 campaign. To mark the home round for the Italian brand, the Fantic Factory Racing MXGP team will sport a one-off retro look, designed in collaboration with AXO, which has equipped factory riders Alberto Forato and Brent Van doninck since the start of the season.

With the Miravalle circuit providing the perfect backdrop, AXO introduces the “Series 26 Heritage Limited Edition”: a special livery that brings one of the brand’s most recognisable off-road identities back into the spotlight. Fluorescent yellow, bright fuchsia, dominant white and sharp graphic contrasts revive the racing spirit of the 1990s, reinterpreting it in a contemporary way through a bold, aggressive design that remains true to AXO’s DNA.
The new gear set is a tribute to the motocross culture of that era. A high-visibility colour palette, strong lines, distinctive patterns and highly impactful logos recall the look of the races that helped shape the brand’s identity.

The factory Fantic XXF 450 machines will feature a matching livery for the upcoming home race weekend. The concept perfectly reflects the rebellious spirit and racing DNA of the Italian brand, founded with the aim of delivering pure fun through its “recreational vehicles”, as its original mission statement proclaimed. A philosophy that lives on today and is reflected in the #makeitfun slogan: the special liveries showcased at all three Italian MXGP rounds this season are a way of expressing this mindset – bringing enjoyment to riders and fans alike.
Following its race debut with Forato and Van doninck, the AXO set will be made available as a numbered limited edition in autumn 2026. A release designed to celebrate the brand’s heritage, bringing it back to the track with the same visual impact that made the graphics of the 1990s truly iconic.
