The race will be held at Italy’s most prestigious and beloved International Circuit, where all the greatest names in the history of motocross have won.
Once again this year, continuing a long tradition that began in 1984, the Circuito Città di Mantova will mark the start of the new racing season. The 37th edition of the event will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025, and will serve as the opening round of the Internazionali d’Italia Eicma series. This historic event brings together the best riders, manufacturers, and teams to test their skills and gauge the competition. All the major teams have already confirmed their participation, including Honda HRC with world champion Tim Gajser from Slovenia, Ducati Corse with the strong Mattia Guadagnini and Jeremy Seewer—who have been testing the Desmo 450 MX at the Viale Learco Guerra Circuit—the Italian Beta team with star rider Ben Watson and newcomer Tom Kock, and the De Carli team, which will represent Red Bull KTM in the MXGP and MX2 categories. Lucas Coenen, after a promising season in MX2, will debut in the MXGP class, while his brother Sacha Coenen and Simon Längenfelder will race in the MX2 class. The event will also feature top Italian riders and other international stars. The full entry list will be revealed during the traditional press conference scheduled for the coming days.
It goes without saying that it will be a spectacular event, perfectly organized, along a track that has made motocross history.
“It’s a great honor for us to be part of such an important event again this year, one that will attract international media, industry professionals, and the public to Mantova,” said MCM Tazio Nuvolari President Giovanni Pavesi. “We’ve been on the front lines for 40 years, and few others in the world boast such a rich sports tradition. We’ll create a beautiful and technical track to test the power of the bikes that will compete in the 2025 World Championship. Winning the Internazionali in Mantova has always been extremely important in motocross.”
The event is organized by Motoclub Mantovano Tazio Nuvolari, Offroad Pro Racing, and Federmoto, in collaboration with the Municipality of Mantova. The race will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025, with Saturday dedicated to team setups and presentations.
