With just over a week to go, the Dutch MX Season Opener will take place on Sunday, March 1 in Lierop. The entry list has never been stronger, and the Ducati Factory Racing MXGP team, led by Louis Vosters, has now been added to the line-up.
The team will travel to the Herselse Bossen with Calvin Vlaanderen and Andrea Bonacorsi, where they will complete a final test ahead of their departure one week later for the opening Grand Prix of the season in Argentina.
Last year, Vlaanderen secured three podium finishes in the MXGP World Championship and finished sixth overall. Bonacorsi claimed his first-ever podium in 2025 and concluded the season in eighth place overall. Both riders are now competing on Ducati machinery, a brand that has already achieved significant success in motorsport.
With the addition of Vlaanderen and Bonacorsi to the Lierop event, the 500cc class promises to be exceptionally strong. Jeffrey Herlings, Kay de Wolf, Romain Febvre, Coldenhoff, Jago Geerts, Roan van de Moosdijk, Adam Sterry, Brent van Doninck, Alberto Forato and Sven van der Mierden, among others, will also line up for the first major race of the season on Dutch soil.
