Haiden Deegan dominated the first moto of the 250 class at Washougal. Early in the race, Deegan launched an attack on race leader Ryder DiFrancesco, but things nearly went wrong when the two riders collided mid-air. Deegan managed to stay on the bike, while DiFrancesco crashed. Deegan then opened up a small gap, but after a few laps, Jo Shimoda began to close in. Sensing the threat, Deegan picked up the pace again and went on to take a commanding and unchallenged win.
Jo Shimoda finished second, ahead of Garrett Marchbanks, Dylan Schwartz, and Austin Forkner. Danish rider Mikkel Haarup crossed the line in tenth place!
