Three of Britain’s Brightest 125cc Prospects Confirmed Hawkstone International

S Briggs Commercials Youth Development Team riders Jenson Severn, Harley Marczak and Archie Stapley will line up at Hawkstone Park on Sunday, February 21, as the UK’s season opener, the 2027 Ashbrook Hawkstone International powered by Syntol Lubricants, kicks off the motocross year.

The trio will contest the MX125 class aboard their Briggs Yamahas at the legendary Shropshire sand circuit, giving fans an early look at three of the most exciting young riders in British motocross as they take on international opposition before the 2027 season begins.

Jenson Severn joins the S Briggs Commercials team for 2027 after a busy 2026 in which he contested both the ACU British Motocross Championship MX125 class and the MXGB British Youth Championship. Strong rides through the season, including a runner-up finish in the Youth class at Preston Docks, earned him the third seat in the team’s expanded youth programme – and Hawkstone will be his first big outing in the new colours.

Harley Marczak is one of the most promising young riders in the country. Runner-up in the Big Wheel 85cc class of the 2025 British Youth Championship, he stepped up to a 125 for 2026 and finished his rookie season third in the British MX125 Championship on 258 points, just two points off the runner-up spot. Marczak is part-way through a three-year deal with S Briggs Commercials designed to take him through the full 125cc stage of his career.

Archie Stapley brings race-winning pedigree to Hawkstone. A title contender in the 125cc class of the 2025 Bridgestone British Masters, he finished fifth in the 2026 British MX125 Championship, as part of a tightly packed group that produced some of the closest racing of the year.

The S Briggs Commercials Youth Development Team is run by brothers Spencer and Bradley Briggs, continuing a family involvement in the sport that goes back to the 1980s, when their father John Briggs helped and sponsored riders. The team’s focus is on developing young British talent in a family-friendly paddock environment and helping riders take the next step towards European competition.

Spencer Briggs, S Briggs Commercials Youth Development Team: “Hawkstone is the event everyone wants to start their year at. For young riders to line up there against international competition, in front of one of the biggest crowds of the season, is a fantastic experience and a real test. We’re proud to be bringing all three of our riders.”
