Jago Geerts will ride for Josse Sallefranque’s SR Motoblouz Honda Team in 2027. The Belgian MXGP rider will make the switch to Honda after just one season with Beta and will become team-mate to Calvin Vlaanderen. With this announcement, the French team has completed its rider line-up for the upcoming season.
For Geerts, the move to Honda marks his third motorcycle manufacturer in the MXGP class. The Belgian previously raced for Yamaha, where he spent several years among the absolute best in the MX2 World Championship and made his MXGP debut. After eight seasons with the Japanese manufacturer, he switched to Beta for the 2026 season.
At SR Motoblouz Honda, Geerts will compete on the Honda CRF450R. He will be joined by Calvin Vlaanderen, whose arrival at the team was officially announced back in August.
With Geerts and Vlaanderen, the French team has two experienced MXGP riders at its disposal. The 2027 season will be an important one for Geerts as he looks to return to the front of the World Championship standings aboard his new Honda.
