Avery Long will compete for the Phoenix Racing Honda Team in 2027. The American is making the switch to the Honda outfit and will contest the 250SX East Championship next season. Following an inconsistent 2026 campaign, Long hopes to take the next step in his career with his new team.
Long has gained valuable experience in American supercross over the past few seasons. However, the 2026 season was not without its challenges. Illness in particular affected his campaign, although he showed in several races that he has the speed to compete inside the top ten.
“I’m really excited to be racing for Phoenix Racing Honda in 2027. I’ve gained a lot of experience over the past few seasons, and I’m looking forward to building on that. The opportunity to be based back on the East Coast, work with an experienced technical crew and return to Honda made this an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” Long said.
Despite the setbacks he faced last season, the American is looking ahead with confidence. “There were challenges in 2026, especially with illness, but there were also some positive moments. I showed that I have the speed to regularly compete inside the top ten and, at times, even challenge for the top five. That’s the level I want to reach in 2027.”
