Infront Moto Racing is delighted to announce the return of the Motocross of European Nations (MXoEN) and Women’s Motocross of European Nations (WMXoEN) in 2027. The event will take place on 11-12 September 2027 at MX Vinohrad in Veľké Uherce, Slovakia, a circuit built by renowned track builder Greg Atkins. The announcement was made in Ernée during the Media day of the Monster Energy FIM MXoN.
EUROPE’S NATIONS OF THE FUTURE
The Motocross of European Nations echoes the spectacular Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, but on a European scale. Nations line up teams made up of their best young riders from the EMX125 and EMX250 classes and the EMX85 category, while the WMXoEN brings together Europe’s leading women riders, many of them regulars in the WMX World Championship. For one weekend, riders who spend the season racing for their own results pull on their national colours and fight for their country.
The event has proven to be a launchpad for future stars. At the 2022 edition in Talavera de la Reina, Daniela Guillén delivered a perfect 1-1 to lead Team Spain and Gabriela Seisdedos to the WMXoEN title, and four years later she was crowned 2026 WMX World Champion. At the 2024 edition near Bucharest, Romania, Team Italy lifted the MXoEN trophy for a record fifth time, while Team Spain defended its women’s crown.
MX VINOHRAD
Set in the hills of western Slovakia, MX Vinohrad in Veľké Uherce has hosted the Slovakian International Championship and FIM Europe European Championship rounds for the Women’s, EMX65 and EMX85 classes. Designed and built by Greg Atkins, the circuit offers a demanding and flowing layout that will provide the perfect stage for Europe’s nations to battle it out.
David Luongo, Infront Moto Racing President and CEO : “The European Nations is an event for the younger generation, and the only event where women and men ride together for their country. We missed it on the calendar, so it is great that it is back. It also gives organisers and countries that are not used to hosting a GP or the Nations the chance to train themselves on an international event, because it has great coverage in our sport and in the media. Half of our logistics team is from Slovakia, so it feels a bit like a home event for us, and it is a great pleasure to be back with the European Nations.”
Michal Sikora, FIM Europe President: “The Motocross of European Nations is a very special event in our calendar because it brings together some of the best young talents in Europe and gives them the opportunity to compete for something bigger than an individual result: their country. We are very pleased to bring the 2027 edition to Slovakia and to MX Vinohrad, a venue that already has experience in hosting European competition. The circuit will offer an exciting challenge for the riders and all the ingredients for a great weekend of racing. We look forward to welcoming the National Federations and their teams in September 2027 for another memorable edition of the Motocross of European Nations.”
Andrea Barbieri, FIM Europe Chairman: “For us this race is very important, because it is unique. It is a race where young riders, men and women, ride as a team for their country. It is a very beautiful race, and I am very, very happy that it comes back.”
Thomáš Pavlovčík, Mx Vinhorad Chairman: “Thank you to FIM Europe and Infront Moto Racing for this opportunity and especially for the trust. This race is not only important for our region and our country, it is also important for FIM Europe after a break without this event. We have a small club, but a long history in the European Championship, and we have a great team. We will do the best event we can, and I am sure it will be a spectacular one.”
