MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 Team’s Sleny Goyer has secured third in the 2026 EMX125 Championship after finishing as runner-up at the final round in Türkiye. Racing at the hardpack circuit of Afyonkarahisar, the talented youngster posted a 3-3 result to secure his hard-fought top-three finish in the series.
The trip to Türkiye marked the 10th and final round of the 2026 campaign. Unfortunately, Goyer’s teammate Levi Townley was absent due to injury, leaving the Frenchman as the team’s only rider in action. In the final standings, Townley placed 11th.
In the opening race, Goyer started fifth and by the end of the race he reached third. Crucially, he beat Moritz Ernecker, who occupied second in the standings, to reduce the gap between them to just six points.
Race Two started well for Goyer who moved from third to first in the second turn. He then led the way for several laps before he was pushed back to second, and then third after a small fall in the latter stages of the race. Finishing third secured Goyer’s 10th race podium of the year and a runner-up finish overall to round out an exceptional season of racing that included six overall podium results.
Having missed the opening four rounds of the season through injury, Townley returned for round five and quickly established himself as a frontrunner in the class. The highlight of his season was placing second overall in Latvia, while he also secured third overall in Great Britain.
The EMX250 Championship also concluded in Türkiye with VHR Yamaha Official EMX250 Team’s Mano Faure and Jarne Bervoets both in action. Faure fared best for the team at round 12 of the series, claiming seventh overall with Bervoets 10th.
After a promising start to the campaign, including a third-place overall result at round one in Spain, Faure picked up a mid-season injury and missed six rounds. Returning for the final three rounds, the Frenchman improved each time out and ended the season 20th. Bervoets finished the year ranked 17th in the championship with his season-best overall finish of sixth secured at his home round in Belgium.
The top finisher aboard Yamaha machinery in 2026 was Tom Brunet in eighth, with JK Racing Yamaha’s Jekabs Kubulins ninth.
