Although the EMX125 class will not be in action this weekend at the MXGP of the Netherlands in Arnhem, the MJC Yamaha team will still travel to the event with Sleny Goyer and Levi Townley, who was initially listed in the MX2 entry list. Both young riders will make their EMX250 debuts in Arnhem.
For Goyer, it will be an important preparation for 2027, when he is expected to make the permanent move to the EMX250 class. Townley’s future is less clear at this stage. A move to the United States is one possibility, but a full EMX250 season also remains an option.
Both riders have had limited opportunity to train on the 250cc machine ahead of Arnhem, meaning the weekend will primarily be about gaining experience.
Levi Townley: “I’m really looking forward to lining up on a 250cc bike in the EMX250 class in Arnhem. My main goal is to gain experience on the 250 and enjoy racing in the sand.”
