Austria has announced the three riders who will represent the country at the 2026 Motocross of Nations in Ernée. The team consists of Michael Kratzer, Ricardo Bauer and Michael Sandner.
With Kratzer and Sandner, Austria has opted for two strong riders from the national championship. However, most of the attention will be focused on Ricardo Bauer. The young Austrian heads to France as the newly crowned 125cc World and European Champion and will take on the international challenge on a 250cc machine for the first time.
Team manager Karl Schmidinger emphasizes that the main goal is to represent Austria with three motivated riders who are willing to give everything for their country.
Marcel Stauffer is absent from the selection. He is unable to compete in the Motocross of Nations due to injury.
Austria will therefore bring an interesting combination of experience and young talent to Ernée, with Bauer’s move to the 250cc class likely to attract particular attention.
