Ricardo Bauer of the Norman KTM Factory Rookies team enjoyed a flawless weekend at the EMX125 round in Foxhill, Great Britain. Bauer was in dominant form, claiming a perfect score by setting the fastest time in qualifying practice and winning both motos.
With the maximum haul of points, the Austrian also takes over the lead in the EMX125 European Championship standings.
Bauer got his weekend off to the perfect start by posting the fastest lap in qualifying practice. He then grabbed the holeshot in the opening moto and immediately took control of the race. From there, he managed the gap to perfection and cruised to his first moto victory of the weekend.
The second moto followed a similar pattern, with Bauer once again proving to be the fastest rider on track. He took the lead early in the race and remained at the front throughout. In the closing stages, he came under heavy pressure from Levi Townley and Ryan Oppliger, but the Norman KTM Factory Juniors rider kept his composure and held on to secure his second victory of the weekend.
With the maximum 50-point haul, Bauer emerged as the standout performer of the weekend and moved into the lead of the EMX125 European Championship standings.
Bauer inherits the championship lead after his teammate, Moritz Ernecker, suffered an injury during the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in the Czech Republic.
The injury sidelines Ernecker for the time being, allowing Bauer to take over at the top of the championship.
