MX Junior Team Latvia Announces Roster and Coaching Staff for the 2026 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship

The Latvian Motocross Federation (LaMSF) has officially confirmed the national roster and coaching staff for the upcoming 2026 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship. This year, the world’s most prestigious youth motocross event will take place from July 5-6 at the Jinín track in the Czech Republic. The Latvian national team will head into the tournament under the expert guidance of team coaches Roberts Justs and Augusts Justs.

For the 2026 season, Latvia will be represented by 12 exceptionally talented riders. In accordance with the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) regulations, the athletes will compete across three age-restricted capacity classes:

* **MX65cc (Ages 10–12):** Daniils Hohlovs, Roberts Vanags, Bruno Geitus, Valters Jurčenko, and Ralfs Saldabols.

* **MX85cc (Ages 12–14):** Patriks Cīrulis, Martins Cīrulis, Rūdolfs Spila, Ričards Jurčenko, and Magnuss Misiņš.

* **MX125cc (Ages 13–17):** Jēkabs Hudolejs and Toms Dankerts.

The Latvian riders enter this championship in peak physical condition following an intense preparation period. Having gained invaluable racing experience on highly competitive European tracks, particularly in Germany and the Netherlands, the team and management look forward to the upcoming competition with confidence.

Latvia has established a strong and stable tradition of excellence at this level, consistently placing within the top five and top eight nations globally. In 2025, at the championship in Romagné, France, Team Latvia secured an impressive 5th place out of 38 competing nations, driven by strong individual performances, including Jēkabs Kubuliņš’ bronze medal in the 125cc class. This repeated the historic success of 2023 in Bucharest, Romania, where Latvia also claimed 5th place among 38 nations—bested only by major motocross powerhouses such as Italy, the Netherlands, France, and the USA. The 2023 campaign was further highlighted by Patriks Cīrulis winning gold in the 65cc class and Jānis Mārtiņš Reišulis becoming the vice-champion in the 125cc class.

Team Latvia’s consistent ability to challenge and defeat nations with vastly superior financial resources and larger rider pools underscores the high level of preparation, talent, and deep-rooted motocross traditions within the country.
