Sacha Coenen claimed victory in the second 250 class moto of the AMA Pro Motocross round at Thunder Valley. The Belgian grabbed the holeshot and steadily built up a comfortable lead throughout the race, never looking seriously threatened.
After Levi Kitchen and Seth Hammaker crashed at the start, Nick Romano and Jo Shimoda spent much of the moto battling for the overall victory. Shimoda eventually finished second behind Coenen, which was enough to secure the overall win for the day. Ryder DiFrancesco completed the podium in third place in the second moto.
Kitchen fought his way back through the field to finish eighth, earning second place in the overall classification. Hammaker also recovered from his early setback and crossed the finish line in 12th place.
