With the start of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship in Pala approaching, Lars Lindstrom, team manager of Honda HRC Progressive, has provided a positive update on Jett Lawrence’s recovery.
According to Lindstrom, Lawrence has now been back on the bike for nearly a month and is making clear progress toward his comeback.
“Jett has been back on the bike for almost a month now. He started off easy on a flat track to rebuild confidence with his foot. He did that for a couple of weeks before transitioning to an outdoor track, and he’s now riding rough outdoor circuits again. He’s making really good progress.
This week we’ll be testing with him, and all four of our riders are back on the bike again. It’s great to have Chance Hymas back, while Jo Shimoda also resumed riding last week and is starting to feel good again.
I’m looking forward to heading back to Florida and seeing all four guys training together again. And from what I’ve heard, Jett is already getting back to ‘Jett speed.’ I’m really excited for the outdoor season.”
The update is good news for Honda HRC Progressive, which hopes to line up with a fully fit roster at the start of the outdoor season.
