Daniela Guillen claimed an important victory in the opening WMX moto in Australia. After a few laps, Guillen managed to pass Kiara Fontanesi and Nellie Fransson and went on to build a comfortable lead. She won the race and, with one moto remaining, now holds a 13-point advantage over Fontanesi.
Lotte van Drunen secured a strong second place, ahead of Courtney Duncan and Fontanesi. Shana van der Vlist finished fifth. Lachlan Turner crashed on the opening lap but fought her way back from last place to finish eighth.
