Jeremy Seewer of the Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team has concluded the penultimate Grand Prix of the MXGP season with an eighth-place finish in the overall classification. The Swiss rider put together two consistent motos in China, scoring solid points with seventh and eighth-place finishes.
Seewer started the weekend with the seventh-fastest time in qualifying. In Saturday’s qualifying race, he crossed the finish line in eighth place, securing a strong starting position for Sunday’s two motos.
In the first moto, Seewer once again maintained his position inside the top ten. After a strong start of the race where he was riding in fourth he made a mistake and finished in seventh. The Swiss rider also put in a solid performance in the second moto, taking eighth place and securing further valuable championship points.
With seventh and eighth-place finishes in the motos, Seewer finished eighth overall at the MXGP of China.
The Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team rider has once again enjoyed a consistent weekend during the final stages of the World Championship.
Following the race in China, the MXGP paddock heads to Australia, where the final Grand Prix of the season will take place next week. For Seewer and the Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team, the MXGP of Australia will be the final opportunity to end the regular World Championship season on a strong note.
After that, Seewer still has a special final chapter to look forward to in his season. The Swiss rider has been selected to represent his country at the Motocross of Nations in Ernée, where he will compete in the MX2 class.
