Cornelius Tøndel will once again compete for the ISRT Kawasaki Team during the SMX Playoffs. The Norwegian rider is returning to the team with which he began his AMA Pro Motocross Championship campaign earlier this season.
Tøndel moved to the United States ahead of the season and started his American campaign with ISRT Kawasaki. He put together several strong results, including multiple top-15 finishes in the motos.
His performances did not go unnoticed. After Chase Sexton suffered an injury, Tøndel was given the opportunity to step in for the official Monster Energy Kawasaki team. Starting at Southwick, he raced the factory Kawasaki alongside Garrett Marchbanks.
Tøndel was still riding for Monster Energy Kawasaki at the final round of the Pro Motocross season at Ironman. However, a crash brought his race to an early end.
For the SMX Playoffs, the Norwegian will now return to familiar surroundings with ISRT Kawasaki. This gives Tøndel another opportunity to showcase his speed during the final stage of the American season.
