Ricardo Bauer claimed victory in the opening EMX125 race, with the Austrian taking the lead from Thorius Bertram on the third lap. Bertram eventually finished second, while Emil Ziemer completed the podium in third. Sleny Goyer and Liam Bruneau rounded out the top five.
Timo Heuver finished 21st, just outside the points, while Jannes Vos, who was called up as a reserve rider, crossed the line in 31st place. Dex Kooiker crashed in the first corner and was unfortunately forced to retire from the race.
For Belgium, Torre van Mechgelen finished 27th, while Seth Priem retired early.
Championship leader Moritz Ernecker suffered a broken leg during the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship and will be sidelined for some time. With his victory in the opening race, Bauer takes over the lead in the EMX125 Championship.
