Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia shines in home race at Montevarchi: a super weekend and constant growth

The weekend ends with a highly positive outcome for Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia, competing on the Tuscan track of Montevarchi for the ninth round of the MXGP World Championship. In front of their home crowd at their home motocross track, the team gathered important confirmations and excellent placements both in the premier class for young talents, MX2, and in the EMX250 European Championship.

MX2: Maxime Grau secures his best-ever result
It was a super weekend for Maxime Grau, who demonstrated another crucial step in his growth on the ups and downs of Montevarchi. The French rider achieved a fantastic eighth place overall, representing his best result of the season and his career so far.
Race 1: Ridden with great intelligence and a consistent pace, finishing in ninth position.
Race 2: An even more incisive moto, which saw him battle with the frontrunners and cross the finish line in seventh place.
Grau is increasingly and consistently confirming his place within the world Top 10, an achievement that rewards the hard work done so far and brings immense pride to the entire team.

EMX250: Alvisi solid in the Top 6, Escandell scores points on his return
In the EMX250 European Championship, an excellent performance came from Niccolò Alvisi as well. Despite the track conditions not being the most favorable for his riding style, Alvisi grit his teeth and delivered a strong performance. With a ninth place in Race 1 and an eighth in Race 2, Niccolò secured a solid sixth position in the overall standings.
The positive note of the weekend was also the racing return of Elias Escandell. For the Spaniard, it was a return to competition: a managed race to rebuild his feeling, finishing in 21st position while still managing to score important points. His physical fitness inevitably shows the effects of the layoff, but this weekend represents an excellent starting point ahead of the upcoming races.

Marco Maddii (Team Manager): > “It was a super weekend for us. With Maxime, we hit eighth overall, which is our best result so far: for him, this is another important step forward in his growth, and it’s a matter of pride to see him consistently establishing himself in the world’s top ten. A good race also for Alvisi, sixth overall, who suffered a bit due to the track conditions that didn’t suit him, but he did incredibly well. Finally, we are happy with Escandell’s return: he scored points and we’ve laid the foundations for the future, even though we know his preparation is not yet at its peak. We leave Montevarchi happy and motivated.”

Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia thanks all partners, sponsors, and the warm fans who gathered at their home track, and is preparing for the next race, which will take place next weekend in Portugal.
