Eli Tomac will miss the upcoming rounds of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider is still recovering from the injury he sustained during the season opener at Fox Raceway.
Following additional medical examinations this week, it was confirmed that Tomac suffered a strained neck ligament and a partial muscle tear in the crash he had in California. As a result, the American rider has been forced to step back from competition for the time being and focus entirely on his recovery.
The team announced that Tomac will sit out the next races to allow sufficient time for rehabilitation.
“Scans carried out this week have confirmed that Eli suffered a strained neck ligament and a partial muscle tear. As a result, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider will be sidelined from the AMA Pro Motocross Championship for the time being. Get well soon, ET3. We look forward to seeing you back at the track soon.”
