Moritz Ernecker won the opening EMX125 moto in Lacapelle-Marival. The championship leader rode a controlled race, leading from start to finish.
Teammate Ricardo Bauer finished second after a strong comeback ride, ahead of Andrea Uccellini. Sleny Goyer finished fourth and Gennaro Utech fifth.
Dex Kooiker was flagged off in twenty-second place, one position ahead of Timo Heuver. Belgian rider Torre van Mechgelen retired from the race during the early stages.
