Team Maddii Racing Honda: Internazionali d’Italia Round 2 Mantova

An intense weekend unfolded at the historic Tazio Nuvolari circuit in Mantova, host of the second round ofAn intense weekend unfolded at the historic Tazio Nuvolari circuit in Mantova, host of the second round of the Internazionali d’Italia series, where Team Maddii Honda ABF Italia experienced a day full of positive moments mixed with a few challenges.

Niccolò Mannini began the weekend by finishing qualifying with the 15th fastest time, a result that didn’t fully reflect his potential but still put him in a position to battle within the midfield. In race 1, Niccolò delivered a solid and determined performance, working his way through the pack and crossing the line in an excellent 7th place, thanks to consistent pace and decisive overtakes. In the second moto, however, a few unlucky incidents complicated his race, forcing him to finish further down the order, away from the positions he had shown he could fight for.
It was also a weekend of mixed fortunes for Marc-Antoine Rossi, who confirmed his speed in qualifying with an excellent 8th fastest time, an encouraging sign heading into the races. Race 1 proved difficult, with challenges in finding the right rhythm and feeling with the track. In the second moto, Rossi responded with determination, putting in an improving performance that earned him a positive 11th place finish, showing grit and strong comeback ability.

The team leaves Mantova with important feedback to work on ahead of the upcoming rounds, aware of the potential shown by both riders and determined to turn their speed into increasingly solid results.

Marco Maddii Team Manager:“Another demanding day, although definitely better than Alghero. Mannini had a good first moto, finishing eighth, where he showed some really good things and made big improvements compared to last weekend. In the second moto, the situation was somewhat reversed, with Rossi finishing in eleventh position, and he too showed a step forward. These two international races have been very demanding, more difficult than expected, but they were extremely useful for us to understand where we stand. We didn’t start with any particular goals — for us it was mainly training and testing. Now we have a few weeks to work, we have a lot to do, and we definitely want to turn the page and be fully prepared for the start of the European and World Championships
