Jorge Prado put in a very strong ride during the opening round of the American Supercross Championship and originally finished third. However, after the race he was handed a three-points penalty because his motorcycle exceeded the noise limit during post-race sound control.
Prado was still allowed to step onto the podium, but in the championship standings he is now classified fourth, behind Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen, and Hunter Lawrence.
