Rumors have been circulating online for a while, and today they were confirmed once again. Rick Elzinga and Jago Geerts appear to have reached an agreement with the Beta Factory team. The contracts both riders had with Yamaha recently expired, leaving them free to sign with another manufacturer.
Today, both riders completed a training session in Lommel on Beta Factory motorcycles. Elzinga was even seen wearing gear featuring Beta branding, while Geerts was still in his original Alpinestars outfit.
It therefore seems that both riders have found a spot for the 2026 season to compete in the MXGP World Championship.
