Shane McElrath bids farewell to Quad Lock Honda

After almost two years together, Shane McElrath’s time with Quad Lock Honda has come to an end. The American rider has expressed his sincere appreciation to the team for the opportunities and successes they have shared since September 2024.

The partnership came together at the last minute at the time, but it did not take long for McElrath and the team to achieve major success. He won both the Australian SX2 Championship and the World Supercross SX2 Championship.

McElrath continued that strong form in 2025. Competing in the 450 class, he claimed his first heat race victory and secured his first podium finish. During the 2026 Supercross season, McElrath remained competitive and finished the season strongly and in good physical condition.

McElrath speaks highly of team owner Yarrive Konsky. According to the American, Konsky had always been open about his intention to help him if a better opportunity for his future came along. Now that such an opportunity has presented itself, the team has worked with McElrath to make the next step possible.

Shane McElrath: “It has been an amazing period with these guys. They have worked incredibly hard to give me the opportunity to perform and continue improving myself throughout my time here. We have met so many great people and built relationships that I will cherish forever.”
