Jo Shimoda will miss the remainder of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship after announcing on social media that his outdoor season has come to an end.
The setback came at the worst possible time for the Japanese rider. The Honda star had rediscovered his best form and was leading the championship standings when his season was cut short.
“This hurts so much, especially because I had finally gotten back to a level where I could fight for wins, and then this happened. One thing I do have confidence in is that I’ll always find a way to come back, no matter the circumstances. Thank you to my team, my family, and all the fans for your support. We’ll be back soon.”
