43ème Supercross de Paris November 21-22

An exceptional event !

A long list of champions will travel to Paris on  November 21st and 22nd, to contest the 43rd edition of the Paris Supercross, taking place at the Paris La Défense Arena!

Born in March 1984, the Paris Supercross has stood the test of time and remains the premier end-of-year classic on the world stage. Once again, the French capital will host the main international stars, including the reigning US SX champion, Germany’s Ken Roczen!

On the footsteps of their illustrious predecessors

Forty-two years after American Johnny O’Mara achieved the first US championship/Paris Supercross double in 1984, Ken Roczen will attempt to cement his legendary status by winning in Paris at the end of November. Ken is familiar with this event, having won at the Paris La Défense Arena in his first appearance there in 2022. After a superb 2026 season in the United States, winning five finals and finishing on the podium in twelve of the sixteen rounds, Ken clinched the prestigious US title in a nail-biting finish on his fifteenth attempt! At 32 years old, it is a man in full possession of his faculties who will return to Paris, and who will therefore attempt, as Johnny O’Mara, Jean Michel Bayle (1991), Jeff Stanton (1992), Jeremy Mc Grath (1993 and 1995), Jeff Emig (1998) and Jason Anderson (2018) did before him, to become ‘King of Paris’ after having won the US title a few months earlier.

An impressive list of champions

For Xavier Audouard, the event’s sporting director, all the indicators are positive less than six months before the event. “This is the 43rd edition, and nowhere else in the world has Paris hosted as many supercross evenings. It’s a rare opportunity to be able to present the reigning US SX champion, and we’ve been managing to do so more and more in recent years. We’re very proud of this because it shows the credibility of the Paris SX, which is precisely linked to our uninterrupted presence on the calendar for so long, always with a top-notch field of competitors.”

In fact, “King Kenny” will be joined by several other big names, such as Malcolm Stewart, who is coming to defend his “King of Paris” title, brilliantly won last year against the Lawrence brothers, and Aaron Plessinger. “Mookie” and “Cowboy” are the two most popular American riders at the moment, and only “K-Roc” enjoys a comparable level of popularity within the US Supercross scene! They will be joined by Jo Shimoda, crowned SMX champion last year in the 250 class, who will be making his 450 SX debut in Paris with the HRC team. The impeccably stylish Japanese rider, former Prince of Paris, will also be reunited on this occasion, riding the same factory Honda machine, with his French counterpart, two-time 250 SX champion Tom Vialle. Having already won an MXGP in his debut in the premier class in 2026, there is no doubt that Tom, in front of his home crowd, will want to remind his former colleagues from the American scene of his talent!

Two youngsters will do their first ever supercross appearance

Since its first edition, Paris has always welcomed young riders dreaming of one day racing in the United States. But for this 2026 edition, the participation of Lucas and Sacha Coenen is already creating a global event! The Belgian twin prodigies, who will have celebrated their twentieth anniversary a few days earlier, will compete in Paris in the first supercross of their career at the end of a season which has seen them, for the moment, dominate their respective categories (MXGP and MX2) since both are sporting the red leader’s plate a third of the way through the season, after total domination of the last GP of Latvia! “It’s a dream, finally we’ll be able to do it in Paris! I went there once just to watch and the atmosphere was incredible,” confided Lucas, just as excited by this challenge as his brother Sacha, during the recent French GP. “I’m really looking forward to experiencing something new and enjoying it to the fullest. It’s going to be a great experience. We’re really excited to be able to compete in our first SX race, and the fact that it’s taking place in Paris makes it even more special, we’re really looking forward to it! »

In the coming weeks and months, the list of riders will of course be completed alongside these top riders. As with every edition, the main event will be SX1, but two other categories are also on the program: the finals of the French SX2 and SX Junior championships, and, of course, freestyle, which will once again be featured.
