Jeffrey Herlings won the qualifying race in Lacapelle-Marival. During the opening lap, the Dutchman took over the lead from Tom Vialle and never relinquished it afterwards.
Behind Herlings, Kay de Wolf finished second after an exciting battle with Lucas Coenen. French riders Maxime Renaux and Romain Febvre finished fourth and fifth respectively. Calvin Vlaanderen retired from the race early.
For the Belgian riders, Jago Geerts and Brent Van doninck finished eighteenth and nineteenth.
