The 2026 season has been going exceptionally well so far for BUD Racing. Both Francisco Garcia and Jake Cannon are currently among the standout riders in the highly competitive EMX250 Championship.
Garcia currently leads the championship with the red plate and, thanks to a string of strong results, has established himself as the rider to beat in the class. Cannon has also been highly impressive. The Australian is enjoying a breakthrough season and currently sits third in the standings.
Cannon recently claimed his first overall victory in the class during the event in Arco di Trento and has continued to make major progress ever since. The two riders are also dominating on the national level, currently holding first and second place in the French Elite MX2 Championship.
The duo’s strong performances have not gone unnoticed. Garcia and Cannon are set to make their debut in the MX2 World Championship later this month in France, but that will not be their only big international appearance.
BUD Racing has now officially confirmed that both riders will also compete in a round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship in the United States.

The pair will line up at the legendary Southwick National on July 11, a race renowned for its brutal sandy conditions. That challenge appears to suit the team perfectly, as much of their training takes place on BUD Racing’s famous sand track and both riders have gained extensive experience on sandy circuits throughout the EMX250 championship.
With the confidence and form they have shown in recent months, the team appears ready to measure itself against America’s best riders as well.
BUD Racing shared the following message on social media:
“Southwick, here we come. Francisco Garcia and Jake Cannon will line up in the MX2 class at Pro Motocross Southwick on July 11.
Let’s bring some Spanish, Australian and French energy to the American paddock.”
