Maxime Lucas has once again had to share bad news. The rider broke his fibula this weekend, marking another major setback in his season.
The injury comes at an unfortunate time, just as Lucas said he was starting to feel like himself again and regaining his form. This new setback hits hard, especially since he won’t be able to support his team on the track for the time being.
“More bad news this weekend — I broke my fibula. Just when I was starting to feel like myself again, I’m hit with another setback. It’s tough, and I’m not going to pretend it doesn’t affect me. The idea that I can’t be there for my team weighs heavily. But setbacks don’t define who I am — how I deal with them does. I know what I’m capable of, and I’ll do everything I can to come back stronger and prove it,” said a deeply disappointed Maxime.
