The DVS Junior Racing Team announced today that Jayson van Drunen’s injury has turned out to be more serious than initially expected. The young rider had already struggled with a persistent injury for almost the entire previous season and suffered another setback during the ONK, this time injuring his ankle.
The situation is both physically and mentally challenging for Jayson. After careful consultation, it has therefore been decided to give him the rest needed for a full recovery. The team regrets this decision but emphasizes that the rider’s health comes first.
DVS Junior Racing wishes van Drunen a speedy and complete recovery and hopes to see him back on track stronger at a later stage.
Due to the absence of Jayson van Drunen, the team is currently looking for a replacement for the EMX250 or WMX class. Interested riders can contact the team to discuss the possibilities.
