Sacha Coenen also won the second MX2 moto at the MXGP of Trentino. The Belgian did exactly the same as in the first moto (and the qualifying heat on Saturday): he grabbed the holeshot and was never seen again by the competition. Behind Coenen, Guillem Farres finished second, while Simon Längenfelder took third ahead of the impressive Julius Mikula and Karlis Alberts Reisulis.
Kay Karssemakers was once again the best Dutch rider in eighth place, with Cas Valk finishing twelfth and Scott Smulders seventeenth.
The podium in Arco di Trento consisted of Sacha Coenen (1-1) ahead of Guillem Farres (3-2) and Mathis Valin (2-7).
