In Delfzijl, the qualifying races were held today for the EMX event taking place there this weekend for the EMX65, EMX85, and EMX Women classes. Due to the high number of entries, both the EMX65 and EMX85 classes were split into two qualifying groups.
EMX65:
In EMX65 Group A, Bas Verspaandonk took the win, finishing ahead of Matteo Bauten and Madden Visser. Fourth place went to Joschua Rath, with Finn Klein Woolthuis in fifth. In Group B, Jack Waters claimed victory ahead of Tommy Wood and Demy Hermes. Bruno Lenarz and Oscar Globet completed the top five.
EMX85:
Harry Dale was the strongest in EMX85 Group A, beating Xen Temmerman and Jagger Townley. In fourth place was another familiar name, Nixon Coppins, son of former Grand Prix star Josh. Fifth place went to Cohen Jagielski. In Group B, Luca Nierychlo took the win ahead of Kenzo Jaspers, Haakon Ronning, Kash van Hamond, and Nick de Jong.
EMX Women:
Lotte van Drunen won the EMX Women qualifying race. Lucy Barker finished second, twelve seconds behind the winner, ahead of Danee Gelissen, Shana van der Vlist, while Lynn Valk rounded out the top five.
