The fourth round of the Motocross World Championship ended with a decidedly positive outcome for Team Honda Maddii ABF Italia. On the technical and demanding sandy track of Riola Sardo, both Niccolò Alvisi and Maxime Grau demonstrated great competitiveness, confirming the team’s steady growth this season.
EMX250: Niccolò Alvisi jumps to seventh place in the championship
In the EMX250 category, Niccolò Alvisi delivered a solid and convincing weekend. The young rider particularly excelled in his ability to sprint effectively from the starting gate, securing two perfect starts that immediately propelled him into the top positions. After an excellent first moto finished in fourth place, Alvisi managed his energy well, although he felt some fatigue in the second heat—a physiological response at this stage of preparation. Thanks to an eighth-place finish in the overall standings for the day, Niccolò made a significant leap forward in the general classification, rising to seventh position in the championship.

MX2: Career record for Maxime Grau
Notable results also came in the MX2 class with Maxime Grau. Despite the Riola Sardo track not being historically among his favorites, the French rider showed great character, achieving his best career overall result with an eleventh-place finish. Grau’s weekend was further highlighted by two lightning-fast starts, both within the Top 5, testifying to the great feeling achieved with his Honda.
Marco Maddii, Team Manager:”It was an excellent weekend for both riders,” comments the Team spokesperson. “Alvisi put in a superb performance, especially for his consistency in the starts, bringing home heavy points for seventh place in the world standings. The signs for Grau are also extremely encouraging: achieving his best career result on a track as tough as this, while always staying at the front in the early stages, gives us great confidence. Now we look forward to the next races with optimism, knowing that tracks even more favorable to our characteristics are on the horizon”.
