Liam Everts started the day strongly in Spain this morning, setting the fastest time in free practice. However, during time practice he came up short on a triple jump and twisted his ankle.
As he continued to suffer from the injury for the rest of the day, he could not manage more than a seventh-place finish in the qualifying race.
