Lucas Coenen claimed victory in the MXGP qualifying race in Spain, finishing ahead of Tom Vialle in second and Maxime Renaux in third.
The race saw a chaotic start as Jeffrey Herlings and Kay de Wolf crashed in the first corner. Both riders recovered well, fighting their way back through the field to finish in eleventh and twelfth place after a strong comeback ride.
