With a weekend off from Grand Prix racing, the Van Venrooy KTM team made the trip to Oldebroek for the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross. In a change from the usual schedule, racing took place on Saturday to coincide with King’s Day celebrations.
Cas Valk continued his strong form with an impressive performance. In the opening moto, Valk dominated proceedings, pulling away at the front to win by an incredible 40-second margin. His pace at the front was relentless as he controlled the race from start to finish.
In the second moto, while the gap wasn’t quite as commanding, Valk once again came out on top, taking the win by eleven seconds ahead of Karlis Reisulis.
With two moto victories, it was a perfect day for Valk and the Van Venrooy KTM team as they now turn their focus to the next challenge — round seven of the MX2 World Championship in Portugal.
Cas Valk (1st overall): It was the perfect day in Oldebroek for me, I went 1-1 again with good riding and decent starts. On to Portugal next weekend for the next round of the MX2 World Championship.
