Kay de Wolf wins the first race of the MX2 World Championship in Argentina. De Wolf rode a cautious race in the early stages but had to push hard after a mistake midway through the moto in order to secure the GP win. With Simon Laengenfelder falling twice in the final stages, De Wolf was able to claim the GP victory with a fifth-place finish. The second moto was dominated by Sacha Coenen, with Andrea Adamo finishing second ahead of Liam Everts.
