Jorge Prado has dominated the first moto of the Grand Prix in Galicia. Prado immediately took the lead and did not relinquish it for the rest of the heat. Romain Febvre managed to follow him closely for a long time and came second ahead of Calvin Vlaanderen, who felt the pressure in the closing stages from Jeffrey Herlings who came back well after a bad start. However, Herlings was hampered by back markers in the closing stages, losing his chances of third place. Jeremy Seewer rounded out the top five. Tim Gajser came home in sixth place and the difference between him and Prado is only one point now!
