Romain Febvre has won the exciting first moto of the MXGP class in Trentino. Febvre managed to take over the lead from Jorge Prado in the middle of the moto but got Tim Gajser with him. Both riders gave it their all until the finish and in the end it was Febvre who won ahead of Gajser and Prado.
Jeffrey Herlings fought through the pain of his ribs and came back to fourth place after a mediocre start. Jeremy Seewer completed the top five and Calvin Vlaanderen came home in sixth after a mediocre start.
