Kay Karssemakers – MX2
It started raining really hard just before our first moto and I had water between my tear-offs so I didn’t have good vision the first few laps. I didn’t get such a good start in the second moto but I could make a couple of good passes during the first two laps. I was eighth or ninth all race; my riding felt really good and I was closer to the leaders than I’ve ever been. We will work hard in the four weeks to build on that.”

Steve Dixon – Team Owner / Manager
“It was another solid and consistent weekend for Kay, and it’s good to see him continuing to deliver top ten results.
The conditions in the first moto were far from easy with the rain, and the vision issues made it even more challenging, but he handled it well and still came away with a good result. That kind of ride shows maturity and control in difficult circumstances.
In the second moto he didn’t get the ideal start but made some strong passes early on and settled into a good rhythm. To run consistently in that group and be closer to the leaders than before is a clear sign of the progress he’s making.
Four top-ten finishes in a row and ten for the season so far is an important step for us, and it’s good to see that consistency coming into his riding. It also puts him in a solid position in the championship, which is where we want to be as we keep building.
We’ve now got a bit of time before the next round, which gives us a good opportunity to keep working and come back stronger as we aim to keep closing the gap to the front.”
