Benoit Paturel of the De Baets MX team has managed to secure another top ten place in the eleventh round of the MXGP World Championship in Lombok, Indonesia. Paturel managed to finish tenth in the second moto and crossed the finish line in thirteenth place in the first moto.
It was very hot in Indonesia and this made the conditions tough for the riders. In the time practice on Saturday, Paturel managed to set a twelfth time and started the qualifying heat strongly. For a long time he was in eighth place but lost his rhythm and fell back to eleventh place.
On Sunday, Paturel had a difficult first moto. He was riding in twelfth place for a long time and eventually finished thirteenth. In the second moto it went better. He worked his way up from eleventh place to tenth position and managed to hold on until the finish.
He finished in thirteenth place in the general classification and is now sixteenth in the standings. This weekend the championship continues in Lombok. The circuit will be ridden at the same location in the opposite direction!
