Brian Bogers withdraws from the MXGP of West Nusa Tenggara

Fantic Factory Racing MXGP’s Brian Bogers will miss the upcoming MXGP races in Indonesia after dislocating his left shoulder in the qualifying race on Saturday.

Brian Bogers, who sits ninth in the MXGP championship standings despite missing the first two rounds of the season, was running in third on the opening lap of the qualifying race when he came up short on a jump and dislocated his left shoulder due to the hard landing. The shoulder joint was quickly put back in place on site.

The Dutchman will now travel home for a medical check. He will sit out today’s races and also miss the second part of the Indonesian double-header on the island of Lombok scheduled next weekend. Further updates will be shared when available.

Vitaliy Tonkov, Fantic Factory Racing MXGP Team Manager:

“As you might have seen, Brian had a good start in Saturday’s qualifying race but after half a lap he came up short on a jump and his shoulder popped out. They put it quickly back in and it looked like the injury was probably not too bad but to be sure, this morning we decided not to race today and also not next weekend. Brian will go home instead to check everything and to be able to get the best treatment to prepare for the next races.”
