Benoit Paturel of the De Baets MX team has ridden a strong fourth round of the MXGP World Championship in Arco di Trento, Italy. Paturel managed to finish eleventh in the first moto and crossed the finish line in a good eighth place in the second moto.
From the sand in Riola Sardo to the hard technical circuit of Arco di Trento. This is a circuit that normally suits Paturel well and he showed this again. On Saturday, things didn’t really work out for Paturel because he didn’t get any further than a seventeenth time in time practice and finished twenty-first in the qualifying heat.
On Sunday, however, everything was different because the Frenchman managed to take a very good start in both motos and was able to follow the riders in front of him for a long time. In the first moto he was riding inside of the top ten for a long time and eventually finished eleventh. In the second moto he was riding for almost the entire moto in seventh place and finished in a good eighth place.
With these results, Paturel finished in tenth place in the general classification and has climbed to twentieth place in the standings.

In the EMX125 class, Dex Kooiker did very well in the second moto. In the first moto he unfortunately had to retire with a damaged bike after a crash, but in the second moto he came back very strong. He rode in the top ten for a long time and managed to finish the moto in twelfth place.
There was a setback for Tyla van de Poel. He crashed in the first moto and broke his tibia and fibula and will have to undergo surgery. The entire team wishes Tyla a speedy recovery!
