Lotte Van Drunen. She ain’t called The Queen of Sand for nothing! Despite an insane amount of pressure and expectation from the home fans at the #MXGP of The Netherlands in Arnhem, round 16 of the FIM Motocross World Championship, Lotte rose to the occasion and dominated both races to secure her third win of the season. As a result, the 17-year-old star carries a 17-point lead into the seventh and final round of the 2024 FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship.
While Lotte stole the show, it was a weekend for the girls, with former #WMX World Champion Nancy van de Ven coming out of retirement for one last dance.
In addition, the crew had to have a laugh with MJC Yamaha’s 15-year-old talent Jarne Bervoets, son of MXGP legend Marnicq Bervoets, about his attempt to mess up his good looks with a whopper of a crash in Sweden.
It also features Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP’s Calvin Vlaanderen, who pulled out of his home round after a turn-one #Crash in Race One. And Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2’s Rick Elzinga, who had hoped for more at home, too.
There is also a cameo appearance of former three time World Champion and all-round legend Alessio Chiodi as he gets ready to race the vets #MXdN in #Foxhills #Motocross #YamahaRacing
