Petar Petrov and Federico Tuani have scored world championship points at round fourteen of the world championship in Lommel, Belgium.
On Saturday, the qualifying heat MX2 started with a small setback for Tuani because he made a mistake and had to play catch up all the race. During the heat he made another small mistake and had to be satisfied with 19th position.
In both motos on Sunday he had to come back trough the pack. In the first moto he had worked himself up to mid pack till he made a crash and lost a few positions. Despite this he finished the race in nineteenth place and scored two world championship points.
In the second moto he had a better rhythm and was riding a consistent race to finally finish the race in seventeenth place. With these results he finished in eighteenth place overall.
Petar Petrov was racing in the MXGP class and did this race just for fun. He didn’t had a winterpreparation or anything so he knew that it won’t be easy with the level this high.
Petrov qualified himself in fifteenth place for the race on Sunday. He was motivated to do better but unfortunately he had a get off in the first moto. Because his bike was to damaged to continue he was forced to retire.
In the second moto he was struggling to find his rhythm and finished the race in eighteenth place.
Petar will try to prepare better for next race he does and hopefully get better results.
