Jeffrey Herlings has won the first race of the Grand Prix in Australia. Herlings immediately made his move in the third corner, taking the lead away from Tom Vialle. He then came under pressure from Romain Febvre for several laps, but kept his composure and rode to victory.
Febvre finished second ahead of Andrea Adamo, Vialle, who suffered a minor mechanical issue, and Pauls Jonass. Calvin Vlaanderen finished sixth, right behind Jonass.
Jago Geerts made a strong comeback after crashing midway through the race and eventually finished ninth!
